Delighted to be back after missing 2022. House as great as ever and the new seats in the conservatory are so comfortable.
Not as delighted by the very changeable weather - probably the worst week weatherwise that we have ever experienced on Harris in September.
However we came prepared for all eventualities and so just got out and got on with it (most of the time).
The conservatory is such a good place to sit, read, stitch, knit and so on, regardless of the weather.
We had some good, if rather windy, walks, enjoyed the wonderful scenes and cakes at Skoon gallery (and the paintings) - treated ourselves to a few special purchases from local markets and succumbed to more Harris tweed despite 100% determination not to.
Here’s to our next visit - thank you Irene for yet another great story in Kinnoull.

The kitchen/dining room has a lovely feel, is well equipped, and is a great space to cook and socialise in.
The house has all of Tarbert’s amenities on its doorstep while being only a relatively short drive (or cycle) away from beaches and coastal views which are unparalleled anywhere else on the planet.”

Our first visit to Harris and so glad that we are here for 2 weeks.
The perfect place to get away and relax from all the current stresses and strains going on in the world.
Greenbank is a lovely cottage in an ideal setting for seeing the island - a real home from home with all the wee touches and things that you normally forget to bring on holiday.
It is without doubt the best equipped self-catering accommodation we have stayed in.
We will long remember sitting looking at the ever changing views from the window with the log fire burning in the hearth.
We have spent one of the best and most relaxing holidays that we have ever had - Greenbank is a heaven on earth.

We would normally be at our holiday home in Spain at this time but COVID-19 obviously scuppered that.
We got to Harris and fell in love with the landscape, lifestyle and people - and knew we wanted more than a few days in our campervan.
Irene came to the rescue and assured us that her beautiful cottage was up to COVID-19 standards.
We loved it so much that we extended our stay for another few days.
Greenbank has everything you would need and more - comfortable and cosy; we will definitely be back.
Just to note: both Kinnoull and Greenbank closed from April 2020 due to COVID-19 regulations so there are no reviews from that time. Greenbank re-opened later in 2020 but Kinnoull remained closed until the new season started in March 2021.

Just back home after spending a wonderful week with friends (and dogs) at Kinnoull. What a comfortable, cosy house this is! Beautifully situated with a picture postcard view of the harbour. It has been kitted out with everything that you could possibly need, including DVDs, books and games for a rainy day. Or you could simply sit in the conservatory and be mesmerised by the view - binoculars and a telescope thoughtfully provided. There's off street parking and the garden is enclosed, so it's child and dog friendly. Lots of things to do on Harris, glorious beach walking, galleries to browse, cafes to sample, distillery to visit... but it was lovely to come home to Kinnoull after a day out, it felt like home.
[ps I think the photos of the inside of Kinnoull do not do it justice - it is so cosy and comfy].

Whatever the weather, this house is perfect. In the sun you can sit out admiring the view and in the rain you can sit in the lovely conservatory playing the games provided.

This is our first holiday on Harris. Accommodation faultless and ideal for a family holiday. Scenery, views and days out were very enjoyable.

We have just returned from a fabulous week in Harris. Kinnoull is a warm welcoming home from home, everything has been thought of. It's comfortable with the best views in Tarbert and perfect for kids. Thank you for giving us a beautiful base to explore my most favourite place in the world. p.s We had wonderful weather, even got a tan, now that's magic.

Had an amazing few days at Kinnoull this March - two adults and a two year old boy. The house is so well equipped for visiting with children - loads of books, games, art materials, beach toys etc. Beds very comfy, living room nice and cosy, lovely to sit out in the conservatory and great views from the outside deck. Couldn't recommend it highly enough for a family visiting Harris.

Just back from Harris, we all had an absolutely great time. The house is fantastic, Irene you are to be complimented on how cosy and homely, yet practical it is. Harris itself is beautiful, beaches that rival any offered by the Carribean. Great meal in the Hebrides Hotel, otherwise we made some really good feasts in the house. Fished a lot, only caught tiddlers though. Weather great up till the last day. Only downside was the monstrous midgie!!! and only having one week!

29 days to go, we can't wait, the new website is great, can see us all now sat on the decking with a glass of wine, Ozzy my big black standard poodle has not been with us before, he has all his things and I know he will enjoy the lovely beaches just as much as we do.
